Strategic Definition, Preparation and Brief
Challenging the project objectives and advising on the selection and appointment of the Professional Team.
Concept Design
Reviewing the design from a cost, time and quality perspective to identify, potential alternatives and possible efficiency savings as well as advising on the project’s order of costs.
Developed Design
Establishing and monitoring construction activity against a detailed delivery programme, reviewing design changes and managing the construction costs accordingly. Advising on Health and Safety aspects during the construction.
Technical Design
Producing an accurate technical-design-stage cost plan, undertaking risk and opportunities analyses, facilitating value engineering workshops, reviewing and updating the technical design programme and compiling coordinated and concise Employer’s Requirements for tender purposes.
Procurement and Tendering
Recommending Contractors, issuing invitations to tender and supporting information. Evaluating and adjudicating tender returns and proposals for compliance of specification, quality and value for money.
Construction
Management of the Contractor to ensure that projects are delivered on time, to the required quality and within the allocated budget. Co-ordinating all aspects of Contract Administration including certifying Contractor applications and payments, monitoring programme and cost. Attending progress meetings, negotiating disputes, reviewing and preparing cost and timing reports, managing claims and variations and ensuring contract compliance.
Project Handover
Ensuring and certifying that the works are completed in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements and that all contractual obligations have been met. Assist and validate project completion information and preparing and managing the schedule of defects.
