Coed Darcy

Wales

Contract Value

£1 billion

Prosurv are appointed to project manage the land mark development at Coed Darcy, South Wales.

Located on the former BP Llandarcy Oil Refinery site which was decommissioned in the 1990’s, Coed Darcy is set to become a sustainable community of 4,000 traditionally-styled Welsh Homes, providing more than 10,000 residents with new living opportunities, including retail, leisure, sports and community facilities and acres of green open space.

To date the works have included an extensive remediation programme, on site drainage and infrastructure, off site link road and improvements to the motorway junction.

Prior to commencement of the build phases, Prosurv worked closely with The Princes Foundation and the Town Architect to establish an affordable yet sustainable Design Brief.

Ecological consideration of the site is also being taken into account with its location adjacent to a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
