Paul graduated with an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying and commenced his employment at a local multi-disciplinary international organisation. Paul developed a good breadth of experience working in a number of sectors including Hotels, Leisure, Retail, Offices and Industrial using many procurement routes. During this time Paul achieved chartered status and progressed to leading the local office with a team of 20 within 6 Years. Paul then fulfilled an ambition and became the founder member of Prosurv together with 3 of his friends, colleagues and fellow Directors. Initially using his previous experience and targeting the Commercial Sector and in particular Brownfield Land Regeneration, Industrial & Logistics and Retail.
Prosurv grew organically during the initial years and continued to enhance their outstanding reputation. This coincided with the type of projects becoming more diverse and complex and the Project Management role evolving to contain Pre Planning Advice, S.106 negotiation and input into Development Agreements to compliment the previous Contract Administration and Commercial expertise. Sector evolution also increased to include Education and Universities, High Density Residential and Mixed Use projects.
Paul has acquired 25 years’ experience in Project Management and Cost Consultancy and currently takes a very active lead on a number of Prosurv Project Teams delivering challenging and complex projects within the company. Paul is also responsible for the strategic business decisions within Prosurv and enjoys advising on new site acquisitions and potential developments. Using his extensive network Paul is able to ensure that resource and workload are matched therefore guaranteeing that the service standards are maintained.
As Managing Director, Paul prides himself on having a knowledge of all projects within Prosurv. His drive to excel in everything that he does and provide an unrivalled Client service is engrained within all employees. Paul also carries out mentoring and nurturing of the Management Team, Senior Employees as well as Graduates and Trainees to ensure that the Prosurv ethos is maintained throughout and well into the future.
Daniel is one of the Directors of Prosurv who was instrumental in the formation of the company in 2004. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor Bsc Hons (MRICS) with over 18 years’ experience, graduated from Staffordshire University.
Daniel is an RICS Inspire Ambassador and is often asked to work with schools and colleges to promote the role of a Surveyor and the RICS. Daniel also recently became a Local Enterprise Partnership Volunteer working with a local secondary school to develop a whole school strategy for careers and enterprise and employer engagement using his network of industry contacts to connect them to local business networks and to assist to motivate and inspire young people using real industry project examples.
Daniel’s areas of expertise include acting as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor on numerous schemes in various sectors with an ability to set up and lead teams and systems to manage Major Projects both in early masterplanning stages and key contract delivery construction phases.
Daniel possesses a keen eye for detail promoting early contractor engagement and ensuring quality is maintained during construction on all project engagements.
Daniel’s most notable project was the delivery of the first phases of the New Bay Campus for Swansea University, which opened to Students in September 2015. To date he has personally overseen delivery of 2,417 Student Accommodation Bed Spaces and over 450,000 sq.ft of Academic Floor Space. The University is one of the few global universities with direct access onto a beach and its own seafront promenade.
Chris is a Chartered Surveyor who now has over 30 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry.
Chris joined Prosurv as a Director in 2005 having worked for a national, local and worldwide construction cost consultancy.
Chris is a highly influential member of the team and is committed to the Prosurv ethos of meeting and exceeding the Client’s expectations and aspirations.
Chris leads members of the Prosurv Team to deliver wide ranging projects and developments in a number of sectors notably mixed use, retail developments, industrial and warehouse distribution, offices, housing and infrastructure projects.
Recent experience has included working on a number of sites delivering demolition, earthworks and reclamation, infrastructure and services to facilitate the development of residential and industrial logistics projects. Chris has also completed the first phase of a city centre regeneration delivering an eleven storey BCO Grade A office building and public realm following demolition and services diversions.
Chris is also involved in the quality processes and training programmes to ensure that the Prosurv standards and philosophy is maintained now and in the future.
Richard joined Prosurv as a Director and brought with him his expertise in Project Management of successfully delivering multi million pound construction projects across all sectors of the Construction Industry.
Richard graduated with an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying and spent his early professional life training and working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a top 5 Contractor in the City of London. Richard returned back to his ‘native’ Staffordshire to further his career with a large worldwide Project Management and Cost Consultancy business. During this time Richard achieved MRICS status and gained invaluable skills and experience working as a Project Manager and Employer’s Agent on large commercial projects. Richard also holds recognised expertise in Cost Consultancy and Cost Management.
Richard has acquired 25 years’ experience in Project Management and Cost Consultancy and currently takes a very active lead on a number of Prosurv project teams delivering challenging and complex projects in the company.
Richard takes an active role in ensuring Prosurv deliver outstanding levels of service to all Clients, specifically delivering Industrial and Logistics Buildings, Education Projects, Industrial Projects and the Regeneration of Brownfield Land. Richard also carries out mentoring and nurturing of Prosurv Graduates and Trainees to ensure Prosurv ‘DNA’ carries the company into the future.
Our Management Team
Ian joined Prosurv as a Trainee and has worked on a wide variety of projects across various sectors including offices, residential, industrial and logistics, education, refurbishment, remediation, demolition and infrastructure projects.
Outside of work Ian enjoys spending time with his family and friends, enjoys good food, wine and beer and is always up for a good time. Ian is a keen sportsman in particularly football and is also a season ticket holder at Stoke City Football Club.
Ian is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 16 year’s experience undertaking the role of Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant.
Ian forms part of the Prosurv Management Team and uses his interpersonal skills to great effect in carrying out this role.
Ian recognises the importance of building and maintaining relationships with Clients, Consultants and Contractors alike and is a big advocate of creating a ‘positive atmosphere’ on the projects that he is involved and encouraging effective and open communications.
Craig is a member of the Prosurv Management Team and has been a Chartered Member of the RICS since 2013. Craig joined Prosurv as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor and has progressed to his current position following the successful completion of a BSc (Hons) degree and then MA in Property Development & Construction at Nottingham Trent University.
Craig has gained extensive experience over the last 13 years and carried out the role of Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager during these years.
In his spare time, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, socialising and fishing when time allows.
Projects of note include complex remediation of former Petrochemical Sites in South Wales and Crayford, the remediation of a Part 2A site in Luton, educational projects including Swansea University Bay Campus Phase 1 comprising several complex education buildings and a 900 bed student accommodation project together with associated infrastructure and also the delivery of Hilton Primary School in Derbyshire. Craig is also involved in several large-scale residential projects including the land and infrastructure delivery for 4,000 dwellings at Glan Llyn, South Wales, 485 dwellings at Hilton, Derbyshire, as part of a joint venture of delivery for residential dwellings across South Wales and the midlands between St Modwen and Persimmon.
Craig holds extensive experience in retail schemes and has completed units for end users such as TK Maxx, Smyths Toys, PC World, Curry’s, McDonald’s and Pets at Home.
Craig has also undertaken several large-scale industrial schemes for both end users and speculative developments.
Matthew has a BSc Honours Degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying and achieved MRICS status in 2016. After four post-graduate years working for a global Project Management and Cost Consultancy business, Matt joined Prosurv as a Senior Surveyor and has quickly progressed to the role of Managing Surveyor.
Matthew has obtained a wealth of experience in the Industrial and Logistics, Aviation, Manufacturing and Residential sectors for a variety of Clients. Matt has an excellent practical knowledge of both NEC and JCT Forms of Contract and advising Clients on procurement routes. Matthew is the Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying lead on a number of Residential, Industrial and Logistics Schemes and enjoys taking an active role in supporting candidates through the APC process.
Paul graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2011 with a BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying and has over 10 years’ experience within the Construction Industry.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys a wide range of sports and socialising.
Since joining Prosurv, Paul has progressed his role to become part of the Management Team, where his duties include Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveying and Project Management.
He covers a wide range of projects across mixed use, retail, residential, commercial, leisure and infrastructure schemes primarily in the Midlands and South Wales regions.
Our Surveyor Team
David graduated from the University of Salford with a First Class (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying in 2012 having spent the second and third years of his degree gaining invaluable and essential experience at Prosurv.
David is an avid Port Vale Football Club supporter and he spends most Saturday afternoons socialising and drowning his sorrows due to the teams full time results.
In his spare time, David is also studying to achieve MRICS status.
David has carried out the role of Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor on several large multi-discipline construction projects across the country. These projects include landmark schemes such as the Former RAF Uxbridge Redevelopment (St. Andrew’s Park) and New Covent Garden Market Redevelopment, London.
Andrew joined Prosurv as a Trainee and has since attained a First Class Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying from Salford University. Andrew is currently studying to achieve MRICS status.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys socialising, playing football and snowboarding.
Andrew has progressed within Prosurv and his main duties now include Employer’s Agent, Cost Consultancy and Project Management services nationwide.
Andrew holds an extensive range of experience on projects including demolition, reclamation, remediation, infrastructure, commercial and residential developments.
Phil graduated with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance before completing a Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying in 2014.
Following graduation, Phil joined a large global Contractor in the role of Commercial Manager in which he acquired valuable knowledge and experience which provided a solid foundation to build upon before joining Prosurv. Phil is currently studying to achieve RICS status.
Since joining Prosurv, Phil has helped to successfully deliver a variety of complex projects across different sectors.
Robert has provided services as Senior Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent and Project Manager across a broad range of large multi-disciplinary projects within both the Civils and the Built environments. Robert has a degree in Quantity Survey and LLB in Law from Staffordshire University and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Robert has in excess of 30 years’ experience in the construction industry within both the Building and Civil Engineering environments delivering a wide range of projects from Commercial, Education, Residential, Office and Major Highway Infrastructure projects.
James has a BA Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
He is currently studying to achieve his MRICS status.
When not in work James can be found walking his dog, enjoying a box set or following the mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
James has experience in refurbishment, infrastructure, commercial build and civils projects, which is used to assist the Client in the construction and progression of the mixed use construction developments.
Dom joined Prosurv as a Trainee Surveyor, prior to which he held 2 years of experience working for a construction consultancy in Manchester.
Dom graduated from Salford University with a First Class BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying in 2018 and is now working as a Project Surveyor within Prosurv where his duties include Cost Reporting, Contract Administration, attending Site Meetings, Valuations and Project Management. Dom is also studying to achieve MRICS status.
Dom is outgoing and keen on sports including football, rugby and golf and enjoys socialising with friends and family.
Dom was a key part of the successful delivery of the Uxbridge Triangle Residential Development and earned plaudits from the Client and End User for his attitude and professionalism.
Jack graduated with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Construction Management and Surveying and spent his early professional life training and working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a term maintenance Contractor for Cheshire West & Chester Council. Since then Jack has gained invaluable experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor with Main Contractors in both Commercial and Residential sectors.
Jack is a Project Surveyor and brought with him his expertise in Quantity Surveying of successfully delivering multi-million pound construction projects across commercial and residential sectors.
Jack is currently studying to achieve MRICS status and enjoys providing CPD seminars to other members of the Prosurv team.
Keeley joined Prosurv as a Trainee Surveyor before graduating from The University of Salford with a BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying. She is now aiming to achieve her MRICS status.
Since joining Prosurv Keeley has delivered projects across various sectors including industrial schemes, retail units, education and sports and leisure. She has undertaken schemes for end users such as West Midlands Ambulance Service and bet365.
Keeley’s duties involve Cost Management, Site Meetings, Valuations and Project Management mainly in the Stoke Region. She is also a key member of the Strategic Land Delivery Team, attending and chairing meetings with the Client and Engineers.
Andrew has a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Construction Management and Property Development.
Prior to joining Prosurv, Andrew worked for a Contractor specialising in joinery and refurbishment projects.
When not at work he enjoys music, films, reading and generally going out with family and friends.
Andrew joined Prosurv as a Trainee and has since worked on a variety of projects assisting other members of the Prosurv Team for numerous Clients.
Joshua joined Prosurv as a part-time Trainee alongside studying for his Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying at Salford University. Upon completion of his degree Joshua joined Prosurv as a full-time Graduate Surveyor with an ambition of moving forward to become a Chartered Surveyor.
Outside of work Joshua is an active member of his local cricket club, Haslington, and enjoys partaking in social events.
In his short time in the industry, Joshua has gained experience working on all sides of Contracts, from Sub-Contractors working on new build houses to Main Contractors supplying residential fit outs. Joshua aims to further his career as an Employer’s Agent and is keen to gain expertise in Project Management and Cost Consultancy.
Joe is a Trainee Surveyor and is working towards a BA Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying.
When not at work Joe can be found playing football or watching Port Vale. Joe’s goal is to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
Joe has been predominantly involved in assisting on the former steelworks at Glan Llyn, Llanwern. Joe assists senior team members in all aspects of Project Management and has developed a specialism in producing project programmes.
Joe assists Clients and fellow employees in updating programmes and immediate deliverables.
Gregg graduated with an honours degree in Product Design, he then spent his early professional life training and working as a Teaching Assistant before moving to work within the Gas Industry working with National Grid’s Civil Engineering Team.
Gregg Joined Prosurv having decided to convert his degree to a Masters in Quantity Surveying at Nottingham Trent University.
Gregg works closely with senior team members on a variety of projects undertaking Project Management and Employer’s Agent services to deliver commercial and industrial projects.
Andrew graduated with an honours degree in Accounting and Business at the University of Central Lancashire. After working in the Finance Industry for a number of years, he decided to convert his degree and has been awarded with a Distinction in Master of Science Quantity Surveying from the University of Salford.
On a weekend Andrew enjoys meeting up with friends, heading to the Lake District for a walk or going to a gig.
Andrew is assisting on the New Covent Garden Market project in London. This project comprises the demolition of the current market and the construction the new market whilst keeping it ‘live’ to traders and the public. As well as the new market build, there are also a number of additional projects on site that Andy is assisting with.
Gary is a Project Manager with extensive experience in various sectors of the Construction Industry, both in the UK and overseas. This covers a wide range of projects, including industrial, commercial, aerospace, marine, custodial, education, heritage and healthcare.
Gary’s main recreational interests are motorcycling and walking.
Recent projects have included a major City Centre Mixed Use Regeneration Scheme involving complex demolition and infrastructure elements as well as a variety of Class B8 Commercial Developments.
Gavin is a Civil Engineer with many years site experience, spending the latter years as a Project Manager for a leading Civil Engineering Contractor in Wales. Gavin has worked on many projects which include retail, residential, commercial, leisure, education, ground remediation, ground stabilisation and infrastructure.
Gavin has three children and enjoys spending his time with them. Weekends consist of juggling football, rugby and swimming between him and his partner.
Gavin’s role is Project Manager overseeing multiple projects in South Wales, predominantly the redevelopment and construction of the Coed Darcy Development, Neath, Port Talbot.
About Lynda Mather
Lynda graduated with an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying in 1993, followed by qualification as a Chartered Surveyor. In her early years, Lynda worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a local practice, followed by a number of years working for a global company in offices in the north west and the south west.
Lynda began a career in Project Management from 1998 and quickly began to specialise in the provision of Project Management Consultancy to the Property Development sector, becoming partner of a global practice, before returning to her native Staffordshire. Lynda joined Prosurv in 2012 and is a Consultant Project Manager.
In her spare time, Lynda enjoys training and competing her horses, rock-climbing and is a keen fell runner.
Lynda has worked in numerous cities throughout her career and has developed a particular expertise in large-scale, private sector Regeneration and Masterplan Projects. Lynda has extensive experience in Commercial Office Developments, as well as Mixed-Use Schemes, and has provided senior level Project Management Consultancy to the public sector.
About Matt Harries
Matt has a Diploma in Building Studies after graduating from Swansea University in 2009. He furthered his education at Swansea University to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Project and Construction Management in 2010.
Matt also completed a Level 7 NVQ Project Management in 2013 whilst managing a busy construction project in Cardiff.
Matt’s interests outside work involve the gym, golf, cooking and he enjoys travelling abroad seeing different parts of the world.
Since joining Prosurv, Matt has carried out the role of Client-side Project Manager on the construction of a new Academic Building on the Swansea University Bay Campus as well as High Rise Residential Student Accommodation Buildings, a Logistics Unit and multiple Infrastructure and Road Projects which he was involved with from inception to completion.
Previous experience includes overseeing large projects for Tier 1 Contractors, these include the refurbishment of a Nightclub into Apartments, High Spec Luxury Houses, a High-Rise Development on Cardiff Bay and multiple Educational Buildings on the Swansea University Bay Campus.
Simon trained as an Architect before graduating with a BSc in Building and has subsequently worked across a wide range of sectors all over the UK in Building Contracting, Project Management and as a Client.
Away from work Simon enjoys family life, travel, dog walking and is a tireless DIY’er currently finishing a house in France.
Working for companies including Kier, Turner & Townsend, Mace and Chester Zoo, Simon has experience at all stages of the Construction Process delivering projects for Clients such as Standard Life, Legal & General and HMCS, as well as numerous Councils, Universities and Charities.
About Christopher Penny
Christopher has a B.Eng (Hons) Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering and a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, and a Chartered Member of the Association for Project Safety. An experienced construction safety professional, Principal Designer and Trainer, Christopher provides an in-house resource for CDM related work.
Christopher has a wealth of experience in various Construction Health and Safety roles as well as working as a Project Manager in the Environment Agency delivering flood risk management projects. He is responsible for providing competence Health and Safety advice and assistance to Prosurv.
Our Support Team
Susan’s favourite thing, apart from work, is to sing on karaoke and share a Chinese or a walk with her true love in life Tess (her four-legged friend!)
She loves playing poker where she is in a local league, and she always has her next holiday abroad booked as she’s addicted to the sun!
Susan is the Office Finance Manager responsible for all financial aspects for the company including the management of the accounts, invoicing and assisting with cashflows.
Susan has been an integral part of the success of Prosurv. Her attention to detail and Client focus is exceptional.
Kate joined Prosurv following a number of years of working in the Events and Incentive Travel Industry.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, dining out and travelling.
Kate is responsible for all marketing, social media and corporate events for the company as well as undertaking PA and secretarial duties for the Directors.
Kate is also involved in the production of bid and award submissions for Prosurv where her time management and multi-tasking skills are key, as she is often working towards tight deadlines where accuracy is also high priority.
Beth is a member of the Administration Team at Prosurv who is on hand to offer help to the Project Managers and Surveyors carrying out the main office duties confidently and efficiently that Prosurv require, no two days are the same!
Outside of work Beth enjoys spending time with her family, socialising with friends and a glass of gin.
Since joining Prosurv, Beth’s responsibilities have grown within the company and she takes pride in her attention to detail with the work that passes her desk and endeavours to keep work at a high standard. Some of Beth’s duties include corresponding with Consultants and Contractors regarding Payments and Invoices as well as producing standard Prosurv documents such as Meeting Minutes. Beth also carries out the role of Document Controller on a number of projects.
Melissa works as part of the Administration Team dealing with a range of duties. Melissa is an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who thrives on working to deadlines, with a proactive and logical approach to challenges, possessing strong communication and problem solving skills and IT competence along with professional etiquette.
She is able to work effectively within a highly pressurised working environment as an individual or as part of a team to meet business needs. Since starting to work for Prosurv in 2015 she has been given the opportunity to expand her role to encompass HR duties within the company.
When not at work, Joanne enjoys keeping fit, walking in the beautiful Peak District near her home, gardening, holidaying as much as possible and spending time with family and friends and two lovely granddaughters.
Joanne is part of the Administration Team within Prosurv. Her duties include setting up meetings, checking invoices, preparing payment notices and general administration tasks. Joanne uses her excellent organisational skills to carry out the role of Document Controller on a number of projects.
Charlotte is part of the Administration Team providing day-to-day secretarial support to the Project Teams. Charlotte attained a First Class BA (Hons) degree in TV Production Management in 2018.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, spa days and travelling.
Her duties include typing of letters, reports and meeting minutes, preparing payment invoices, preparing tender documents and assisting in production of presentations/bids.
Charlotte also assists with preparing marketing literature, updating the company website and social media and coordinating marketing events.
